CT Arts Organization Announces Winner of Artist Residency Program at CT Post Mall

Clementina Arts Foundation’s Sprouting Spaces has selected Jenn Cacciola as the 2023 Artist in Residency at Connecticut Post Mall. Her studio space occupies the mall’s lower level, allowing public interaction during her creative process.
Sprouting Spaces revitalizes vacant commercial spaces by providing selected artists with free studio environments. Connecticut Post Mall offers monthly stipends and inclusion in marketing. Cacciola was selected by premier judge Felix Suarzo, “a renowned professor, art critic, researcher, and curator.”
Cacciola brings credentials as curator and educator. She co-founded Ice Cream Social, co-curates Openings Artist Collective and P2P Curatorial, and taught pre-K through 12th-grade art in NYC schools.
“Through sculpture, tapestries, and installation, my work focuses on the desire to connect ourselves to the ultimately unreachable past,” Cacciola explains, while also addressing climate change anxieties.
Connecticut Post Mall hosted a launch celebration on Saturday, October 14th at 2:00 PM.
