Grandmother’s Inspiration Spearheads Stamford Gallery Owner’s Mission To Give Back

Grandmother's inspiration

Fernando Luis Alvarez, owner of an art gallery at 96 Bedford Street in Stamford, established the Clementina Arts Foundation inspired by his grandmother’s philosophy: “Do small things in a great way.”

Alvarez built his mission around empowerment: “I always like to empower in any way, shape or form, whether it is through money or wisdom. I believe every human being should reach to their potential. That was how I was raised by Clementina.”

The gallery opened nearly nine years prior.
