Greenwich Art Teacher Turns Abandoned Mail Truck Into Art

Abandoned mail truck turned into art

Ben Quesnel, a Greenwich-based art educator, discovered two abandoned postal vehicles in the woods behind a friend’s property in South Windsor three years prior. Inside one truck, they uncovered a cache of undelivered mail and magazines dating back to 1982.

Quesnel transformed this find into an interdisciplinary artistic experience at his studio at 5 River Road in Wilton’s River Park Shopping Center. The installation incorporates audio, video, written correspondence by regional CT authors and poets, and the original abandoned mail.

The project invites public participation — visitors can submit letters or artwork for inclusion with the theme “Undelivered.”
